T24 Network Storage Solutions

T24 are delighted to offer a wide range of network storage solutions aimed at businesses of all sizes. All the solutions offered are installed by T24s highly trained technical staff to ensure the implementation goes well.

Network Storage devices (often referred to as NAS devices) are hard disk based storage devices that are setup on a network using a network cable and having its own network address, rather than being attached directly to a computer. The NAS is attached to a local area network (typically, an Ethernet network) and assigned an IP address. Day to day management of the NAS device is usually done through an inbuilt web interface, therefore allow new shared folders to be created and usage of the device monitored. A NAS can consist of a single hard drive or can be a device which has multiple hard drives (often referred to as RAID systems)

Single drive 500GB NAS

This single drive solution is ideal as a backup drive, it is cost effect and reliable, however as there is only a single drive it should never be used a central storage area for files because if the hard drive were to fail all data could be lost.

Single drive 1TB NAS

This single drive solution is ideal as a backup drive, it is cost effect and reliable and offers an impressive 1tb of data storage, however as there is only a single drive it should never be used a central storage area for files because if the hard drive were to fail all data could be lost.

2 drive 1TB NAS

This 2 drive solution allows for configuration as either one large un-resilient 1tb data area or as a more reliable and fault tolerant 500gb mirrored solution. Again in the 1tb configuration the NAS should not be used to centrally store files as a failure of either drive would potentially cause all the data to be lost. In the 500gb mirrored setup this makes an ideal lower end resilient solution for the smaller business.

4 drive 2TB NAS

This NAS can be configured in a number of ways to offer different levels of fault tolerance however for data security the best configuration is RAID 5 which offers a total of 1.5tb of usable storage are whilst still providing fault tolerance in case of a drive failing.

4 drive 3TB NAS

This NAS is the bigger brother of the previous NAS can be configured in same way to offer different levels of fault tolerance however for data security the best configuration is RAID 5 which offers a total of 2.1tb of usable storage are whilst still providing fault tolerance in case of a drive failing. This level of capacity and fault tolerance is more than enough for most companies

Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)

T24 are also able to offer the option of a UPS to attach to your NAS device to ensure that it is protected from power spikes and short interruptions to your electricity supply. Typically the UPS will offer around 30 minutes of backup power in the event of a power interruption to your premises. This is usually more than enough time to arrange to shut it down gracefully to prevent data loss (or for the power to come back on).

Installation and support

After deciding which NAS device meets your requirements a T24 technical consultant will attend site to carry out the installation. This will cover the configuration of the NAS to setup the shares you require; copying of data onto the NAS ready for use and also the connection of the Wordex’s to the NAS so that users can access the data. Therefore by the time our consultant leaves your site everything will be up and running
